Portglenone is a village in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It lies 8.5 miles west of St Mary's Church, PortglenoneBallymena.


The Church of Blessed Virgin Mary Immaculate and Parochial House are located at 12 Ballymena Road, Portglenone.

The Parish Pastoral Council are hosting a series of 'Station' Masses for your Townland as part of our Programme for Lent and to continue developing a deeper sense of ourselves as a Parish Community. Each Mass is strictly for the people of the Townland designated for that night.


Monday 10th April - Monastery Guest House @ 7pm for Lisnahunsin.


The PPC, look forward to celebrating these Masses with you.




HOLY THURSDAY: Mass at 6pm in the Monastery with the Monks.

GOOD FRIDAY: Ceremonies at 3pm and Stations of the Cross at 7pm.

HOLY SATURDAY: Parish Mass at 8pm.

EASTER SUNDAY: Parish Mass at 11am.                                       





WEEKDAY MASSES will be held in the Oratory:

Monday & Wednesday @ 9:30am.

Tuesday Mass will be held in the School while the Church is under Renovation, Mass @ 9:30am.

Friday @ 7pm, Exposition from 6pm - 7pm.


There will be no Saturday morning Mass while work is in progress.


WEEKEND PARISH MASSES will be held in the Monastery and will start on Saturday 30th July 2016:

Vigil @ 6:15pm, please note change of time.

Sunday morning @ 8am & 11am.


CISTERCIAN COMMUNITY MASS: 9:30am, please note change of time.


Baptisms will be held in the Oratory.

Weddings: Please speak with Fr. Curran to discuss possible arrangements.

Funerals: Requiem Masses will be held in St. Mary’s Church, Clady.

Months Mind/Anniversary Masses will be accommodated during Parish Masses held in the Monastery.

Holy Days of Obligation/Christmas & Easter Services/First Confessions/First Communions/Confirmations – further information will be provided at a later date.

If you have a concern with the need to use stairs to access the Monastery Church, please speak to Fr. Curran or a member of the Pastoral Council to discuss other access arrangements.
